Staff WSC has been notified by Eastland County Water Supply District that STAGE 2 Drought Contingency Plan is now in effect as of today, August 22, 2023. 20% reduction of our daily water usage will be necessary until we can reestablish our water needs.
The following rules apply: all landscape irrigation and foundation watering must be reduced to odd/even schedule. Odd numbered addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 may water Sunday & Thursday only from 7-9 am or 7-9 pm. Even numbered 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 may water Saturday & Wednesday from 7-9 am or 7-9 pm.
No filling swimming pools and discontinue operation of fountains unless equipped with recirculation system. No washing sidewalks, driveways, vehicles, trailers, buildings, dust control aspect, cemetaries or gutters. Water from fire hydrants shall be limited to fire fighting or appropriate line flushing to maintain public health. Remember 20% of your normal daily usage is being requested.
